Tiasa is our handmade small wall shelf made of natural rattan, which impresses with its timeless design and natural look. It is the ideal place for small plants, keys or spices in the kitchen. With its natural colour and simple shapes, it blends harmoniously into any room, but particularly shines in living environments in the trendy boho style.

Tiasa is not only beautiful to look at, but also practical to use. The natural rattan used makes the shelf light yet surprisingly sturdy. It comes with a practical hook on the back so that it can be easily attached to the wall.

Main material: Rattan

Our shelves are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

Rattan palms tend to grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and drawing many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without any chemical additives, have to be cut off regularly and can then be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is available in abundance.

This shelf is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
