These elegant hexagonal coasters are handcrafted from real East Javanese marble by our partners in Indonesia. Each set consists of four or eight coasters and is available in gray and white marble.

Material: Marble
Our marble products come from a region in East Java that is well known for its marble handicrafts. It has long been a tradition for the younger generation to learn the craft of working marble from the older generation. Only companies with a permit are allowed to mine marble in this area, so the ecosystem remains intact. Marble products are manufactured in three steps: the marble is first chipped, then chiseled into the desired shape and finally polished. The processing is mainly done traditionally by hand, but sometimes also with the use of special machines.

These coasters are handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
