Kanthi is a multifunctional side table. You can, for example, put your morning coffee on it, put a good book aside next to your reading chair or create a work of art by combining it with other decorative accessories.

The table is made entirely of high quality rattan and only covered with a transparent, protective glaze. In this way, the material retains its natural light color, which fits into both simple and more colorful furnishing styles.

Material: Rattan

Our side tables are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

Rattan palms tend to grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and drawing many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow back quickly without any chemical additives, must be cut off regularly and can then be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and abundantly available material.

This table is handmade in Java, Indonesia
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
