Our beautiful little Senja handbag is handmade from natural rattan fibres dried under the tropical Bali sun and has a shoulder strap made of soft synthetic leather, which not only makes it comfortable to carry but also gives it a modern touch.

The lining is designed in a traditional, multi-coloured batik pattern. A press stud fastening ensures that your essentials are kept safe. With its tropical charm, Senja is not only a reliable companion on hot summer days, but is also a beautiful addition to festive occasions as an understated accessory.

Main material: Rattan

Rattan palms tend to grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and drawing many nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without any chemical additives, have to be cut off regularly and can then be used as material for furniture and baskets after the drying process. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is available in abundance.

This bag is handmade in Bali, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
