The spacious bamboo basket Batavia fulfills two purposes. On the one hand you can store all sorts of things in it - on the other hand it serves as a small stylish side table in two different sizes and is particularly effective in a set. The bamboo used is cut relatively thick and is therefore extremely stable.

With its clear, minimalist design and natural color tone, it goes particularly well with homes in a modern, Scandinavian-inspired furnishing style.

Our baskets are made from plant fibres. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

Bamboo is an extremely rapidly renewable raw material that can be used for a variety of purposes. The bamboo for our baskets is harvested in the immediate vicinity of the processing company, so that unnecessarily long transport routes are avoided.

Production site:

This basket was handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
